Birthday Dress

Last month was Molly’s first birthday, and her party was gnome themed.  (Those that know me, know I have a thing for gnomes, but it was actually Mike’s idea)  For the occasion I wanted to make her a special dress.  I’d seen the Michael Miller Gnomeville fabric on Fabric.com previously, and as soon as we came up with the theme I knew I would make her a dress from it.  I found this awesome dress pattern on Pinterest called the Snappy Toddler Dress from PrudentBaby.com.  I think it turned out amazing, and couldn’t have been happier.

I figured she needed shoes and a hair band to go along with it, so I came up with a pattern for some cute little Mary Jane polka dot slippers.  For the headband I used some leftover fabric from the dress and made some fabric flowers and hot glued to a band I found at Hobby Lobby.

Overall I think the whole thing was adorable, she got so many compliments at her party.  It’s hard to believe how fast the first year has gone by, my little baby is growing so fast!

Crib Sheets

I now have 2 crib sheets listed on my Etsy store, they’re priced at $35.00 plus shipping.  They’re great sheets, I have 3 that I made for Molly’s crib and they’re held up really well, not to mention they look super cute!  I also made a couple for my good friend’s little boy, he has the Nautical sheet as well.  Her brother liked it so much that when they had their little boy they asked for one as well, it’s such a great fabric print, very classic.

My sheets are fitted with elastic to fit snug on the mattress and all exposed seams are serged for a nice finish that won’t fray when washed.  They make a great, unique baby gift!
